Hello Ondo/Flux community and team,
I am writing this post as a formal and public request for help recovering ONDO tokens that were accidentally sent to the ONDO token contract address itself.
-– THE FACTS — - Transaction hash: 0x06b8aa4384168dd7914e79599dd2a9f8d089b9679c542762e31af0dbe81b9354
- Amount: 34,005 ONDO tokens (~$15,000 USD)
- Destination (by mistake): 0xfAbA6f8e4a5E8Ab82F62fe7C39859FA577269BE3 (the ONDO token contract address)
- Origin: Withdrawal from KuCoin exchange - Date: May 21th 2026
-– WHAT HAPPENED — During a withdrawal from KuCoin to my personal MetaMask wallet, I copied the contract address that appeared inside the ONDO token page instead of my own wallet address. The tokens arrived at the contract itself and are now locked there. This can be verified on Etherscan — the contract currently holds over 103,000 ONDO tokens, including mine.
-– WHY I AM POSTING HERE — I have already contacted KuCoin (they cannot act on-chain), and I have attempted to reach the Ondo Finance team multiple times via email, web form, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Telegram without response. After reviewing the ONDO token contract source code on Etherscan, I understand that: 1. The contract does NOT have a rescueTokens() or similar function. 2. The DEFAULT_ADMIN_ROLE held by the Ondo Finance deployer address (0xe2d0f9dcc81267c36a47d9e26adf479501124bbe) has technical control over the contract. 3. Recovery is therefore only possible through a deliberate action by the Ondo Finance core team. — MY REQUEST — I am asking the Ondo Finance team to consider one of the following: Option A: Direct intervention — use admin privileges to deploy a recovery mechanism for the tokens trapped in the contract. Option B: Governance proposal — if the team prefers, I am willing to support a formal governance process to authorize a rescue function or a one-time transfer.
-– PROOF OF OWNERSHIP — I am prepared to provide: - Official transaction export from my KuCoin account confirming I authorized this withdrawal - Any identity verification the team requires - A signed message from any wallet involved in this process These represent my entire life savings. I am not asking for anything beyond what is technically possible and legally appropriate. Any help or guidance from the team or community is deeply appreciated.
