Proposal Overview
This discussion introduces Maxshot AI to the Flux community and seeks feedback and early support signals to advance a potential integration.
Maxshot is an autonomous, AI-native yield optimization layer that operates on top of existing markets to improve capital efficiency, utilization, and user experience across multiple chains. It functions as a non-custodial, rules-based execution layer and does not require changes to Flux’s core protocol parameters.
The purpose of this post is to gather community input, surface any concerns, and assess alignment and support to move toward technical exploration and ecosystem collaboration with Flux.
1. Background and Motivation
Flux Protocol is a leading Ethereum-native lending platform, with approximately $42.5M TVL deployed on Ethereum. Flux provides deep, composable lending markets that form critical infrastructure within the Ethereum DeFi ecosystem.
While Flux operates exclusively on Ethereum, capital across DeFi is increasingly fragmented across multiple chains, requiring users to actively monitor yields and manually reposition liquidity when opportunities shift.
Maxshot AI is designed to address this fragmentation as a scaling, optimization, and distribution layer, rather than as a competing lending protocol. By deploying AI-native agents that continuously monitor yield conditions across chains, Maxshot can source liquidity from other networks and route it into Flux’s Ethereum markets when they offer the most attractive risk-adjusted returns.
In practice, this enables Maxshot to:
-
Improve allocation efficiency by directing cross-chain liquidity into Flux when its Ethereum markets present the best risk-adjusted opportunities
-
Increase liquidity stickiness by reducing reliance on manual, short-term yield chasing across chains
-
Simplify user experience through one-click access to optimized strategies that can dynamically allocate capital to Ethereum-native protocols like Flux
Maxshot is structured to be value-accretive to Flux Protocol, driving incremental utilization and TVL to Flux without competing for core lending market share, governance, or protocol design.
2. Protocol Overview: Maxshot AI
Maxshot AI is an AI Agent Factory, an AI-native, automation-first infrastructure layer designed to build, deploy, and coordinate autonomous agents for on-chain capital optimization.
At its core, Maxshot provides a standardized framework for creating protocol-aware, risk-constrained AI agents that can observe market conditions, reason over strategy sets, and execute actions across DeFi systems. These agents operate continuously within predefined risk models and governance-aligned parameters, enabling scalable and transparent automation at the infrastructure level.
Key Characteristics
-
Deterministic, Continuous Execution
Agents operate autonomously and continuously, responding to market changes without manual intervention. All decisions follow transparent, rules-based logic that is auditable and verifiable on-chain, eliminating discretionary risk.
-
Full On-Chain Transparency
Every allocation, rebalance, and performance metric is recorded on-chain and available for real-time community review, enabling ongoing verification of compliance and protocol impact.
-
Separation of Concerns
Maxshot enforces a strict separation between optimization logic (Strategy Layer), safety constraints (Risk Layer), and on-chain interactions (Execution Layer). This design ensures that strategy decisions cannot bypass risk controls and that all actions remain auditable.
The first flagship product built on this framework is Maxshot Omni Yield Aggregator, an omni-chain, multi-protocol yield optimization system live across multiple blockchains. Powered by a coordinated network of autonomous agents, the aggregator dynamically allocates capital in real time rather than relying on static strategies or manual rebalancing.
As the agent factory expands, Maxshot is designed to support new on-chain use cases beyond yield optimization, while maintaining strict alignment with protocol risk frameworks and ecosystem incentives.
3. Architecture Overview
Maxshot follows a protocol-agnostic, modular architecture optimized for transparency, security, and auditability. The system consists of three distinct layers:
Strategy Layer
Defines optimization logic and allocation objectives by analyzing real-time market data across Flux and other protocols. It generates allocation recommendations but has no execution authority.
Risk Layer
Acts as the system’s safety guardrail, enforcing predefined constraints such as protocol, asset, and chain exposure limits. Any action that violates these rules is automatically blocked and logged for transparency.
Execution Layer
Handles all on-chain operations, including deposits, withdrawals, and rebalancing. Execution is deterministic and fully auditable, and only proceeds after Risk Layer approval.
This three-layer architecture ensures that strategy optimization, risk management, and execution transparency are never compromised. Each layer operates independently, and no single layer has authority over the entire system. This design reduces the risk of catastrophic failures and ensures that the Flux community retains full visibility and control over Maxshot’s operations.
4. Differentiation
Maxshot AI is an AI-native, automation-native financial infrastructure designed to manage and optimize on-chain financial activities.
Unlike traditional yield aggregators that rely on static strategies or manual rebalancing, Maxshot operates as a network of non-discretionary, autonomous agents that continuously evaluate market conditions and execute allocation decisions in real time, strictly within predefined risk constraints and governance-aligned parameters.
Core Advantages
-
Omni-chain, Multi-protocol Optimization
Capital is optimized globally across chains and protocols rather than siloed within a single deployment.
-
Agent-driven (Non-discretionary) Execution
Deterministic agents execute strategies continuously without human intervention or discretionary decision-making.
-
Separation of Strategy, Risk, and Execution
A modular architecture enforces clear boundaries between optimization logic, risk controls, and execution, enhancing security, transparency, and independent auditability.
This architecture allows Maxshot to function not merely as a yield aggregator, but as a general-purpose AI agent platform, where additional agents (such as risk agents, liquidity routing agents, governance-aware execution agents, and protocol-specific strategy agents) can be composed and deployed over time.
5. Live Deployments and Metrics
Maxshot has been live in production since December 2025, and has already attracted meaningful TVL, demonstrating operational readiness and early market validation.
The platform currently manages approximately $9.8M in total TVL across live deployments, including ~$1.8M in the Omni USDC vault. All deployments are fully on-chain and publicly verifiable, reducing the governance and execution risk typically associated with new strategy operators.
| Strategy | Asset | Supported Chains | TVL | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maxshot Omni USDC | USDC | Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism | $1.82M | Live |
| Maxshot Omni USDT0 | USDT | - | - | Launching this month |
6. Performance Trends and Observations
Maxshot omni-chain vaults prioritize stable, risk-adjusted returns rather than short-term yield maximization.
The Maxshot Omni USDC vault has historically delivered APYs ranging between approximately 2% and 10% over the past month, with a recent 24-hour APY of 7.76%. Performance data is fully transparent and available in real time via the Maxshot application.
| Period | APY | Volatility | Max Drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Day | 7.76% | Low | 0.00% |
| 7 Day (Est.) | 6.82% | Low | 0.15% |
| 14 Day (Est.) | 6.25% | Low | 0.25% |
| 21 Day (Est.) | 6.10% | Low | 0.35% |
| 30 Day (Est.) | 5.07% | Low | 0.50% |
Key Observation:
Maxshot delivers stable, risk-adjusted returns rather than volatile peak yields. The ~5.07% 30-day average APY reflects a sustainable return after accounting for market volatility and rebalancing costs, while low drawdowns indicate effective risk management and controlled concentration.
7. Operational and Compliance Readiness
Maxshot demonstrates strong operational and compliance readiness through the following factors:
